Tanya Mruck has been a sports and social responsibility strategist for 10 years.  Her journey toward a career in sports philanthropy included stops in community relations, player programs, communications and marketing.   Most recently she has led the MLSE Foundation as the Director of Operations, managing both the Fundraising and Community Investment portfolios. Since 2010, she has invested $24 million into upgrading athletic facilities and funding grass roots sports on behalf of Toronto FC, Maple Leafs and Raptors.  Tanya has steered the foundation towards strategic and sustainable programming to maximize impact and is the champion behind MLSE LaunchPad—the first facility in North America dedicated to youth development in the community combining sport, education and research to address social issues. Now, as MSLE LaunchPad’s first Executive Director, she will focus on working with corporate and community partners to bring the facility to life.

Althea Arsenault

Althea Arsenault is the Manager of Resource Development with the New Brunswick Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation, a Crown Corporation which focuses on the provincial poverty reduction plan. Her focus ranges from project management, policy and procedures, finance, and financial literacy. She is the co-founder of “Get Your Piece of the Money Pie” and has been instrumental in developing interdepartmental, interprovincial and Federal/Provincial collaborations and expanding the reach of the income tax clinics throughout NB. She is the Co-Chair of ESDC’s Canada Learning Bond Champions Network and Chair of NB’s Financial Education Network. Previous to ESIC, Althea spent the last 25 years managing non-profits in sports, universities, hospitals and government. In her spare time, Althea loves to bike, cook and is an active volunteer within her community and with triathlon. At the national level she is a past board member of Triathlon Canada, a National Technical Official, a member of the Women’s Committee for Americas Triathlon and spent 9 years volunteering at the triathlon provincial level. She is also the Vice-President for Sport NB, working towards the focused development and growth of sports in NB.

Bill Cooper

Bill is currently Chief Operating Partner of TTG Canada and Managing Director of the company’s sponsorships sales business; TTG Partnerships. In this capacity he works on multiple sponsorship property teams in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, and is a regular participant in project ideation and discovery sessions; a hallmark of TTG’s innovative approach. Concurrently he also leads the operations of the family of companies through his role in operations, finance and HR. Prior to joining TTG, Bill was the Director of Commercial Rights Management for the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. In this capacity he managed both the optimization of the Olympic and Paralympic Brands within the partner family as well as partner servicing obligations across all non-commercial partners to the Games. Years prior to this included roles with companies like Bell, Cossette, ESPN STAR Sports, the X Games and more.

Deidra Dionne

Sport has always played a significant role in Deidra Dionne’s life.  The two-time Olympian and the 2002 Olympic Bronze Medalist in Freestyle Skiing, Aerials, grew up in Red Deer, AB but currently calls Toronto home.  After retiring from active competition in 2009 with 11 World Cup medals, Deidra earned her law degree from the University of Ottawa. Currently, Deidra is Director, Business Affairs with Sportsnet and sits on the 2019 Red Deer Canada Games Host Society Board of Governors. Deidra has served as chair of the Canadian Olympic Committee’s Athlete’s Commission and was previously senior director of strategic development, legal associate at Cimoroni & Company, a sport marketing and consulting company in Toronto.  An advocate for the voice of athletes, Deidra is committed to sharing her experience and giving back to the sport community. Deidra is passionate about the business of sport and a regular contributor to Sportsnet.ca. She is also the Freestyle aerials analyst for the Canadian coverage of the winter Olympics.

Camille Wallace

Camille Wallace is a digital marketing professional who is passionate about positively influencing the lives of future generations. In her current role as the Media Partnerships Lead at TikTok, Camille oversees sport and gaming strategy in Canada, working with brands, properties and media to grow the ecosystems in Canada. She’s also a part-time social media and content strategy instructor. Camille has had the opportunity to work in roles on both the agency and client side, with a memorable stop at Special Olympics Canada. She is a member of The Black Professionals in Technology Network and Black in Sport Business professional networks. Born and raised in Toronto, Camille is committed to giving back to her community. She currently volunteers with Girls E-Mentorship as a mentor to youth who face multiple layers of barriers. During her formative years, Camille was heavily involved in athletics as an athlete, seeing first-hand the positive impact sport participation can have on young women.

Susan Irving

Susan Irving is an industry leader with a passion for brands and a reputation for delivering business results through strategic integrated marketing campaigns. Now, as Chief Marketing Officer for Kruger Products L.P., Susan is responsible for leading the marketing team to set the vision, strategic direction, and drive business performance for all Kruger Products brands and marketing activities in Canada and the United States. She is also a Director and Officer of the organization and a key member of the Company’s Executive Team.

Susan is an accomplished, award-winning senior marketing executive with over two decades of experience leading many successful and well-known brands at Warner Lambert, Coca-Cola, Pfizer, and PepsiCo. She has a strong passion for brands and building high performance teams. She is a strategic business leader with experience that spans across all aspects of business management and consumer marketing including brand strategy; advertising and communications; P&L management; media planning; digital; social media; innovation; consumer insights; as well as sports and event marketing. Most recently at PepsiCo Foods Canada, Susan was the Senior Marketing Director for the Quaker Nutrition portfolio. During her 15 years at PepsiCo, she held several progressive roles including leadership of a Global Snacks team in New York where she was responsible for Doritos, Cheetos and Sunbites – three of the company’s billion-dollar brands. Susan is known for her collaborative approach of working with teams to deliver breakthrough, insight-driven consumer campaigns and programs that deliver growth.

Rahim Mohamed

Saskatoon, SK

Rahim Mohamed is the Director of Soccer at Saskatchewan Soccer Association (SSA) where he oversees the strategic and technical operations of soccer within the province. In this capacity, Rahim manages the SSA player pathway technical programs and services, human resource management and technical communications within the organization. Through his previous roles as both a technical director at Toronto High Park Football Club and Byron Optimist Soccer Club, and his roles as an assistant coach in at Fanshawe College, FC London and the University at Buffalo, Rahim brings a wide array of experience managing strategic planning and operations that will be assets to the organization.   

In 2013, Rahim was inducted to the inaugural class of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (now known as United Soccer Coaches) Top 30 Under 30. Rahim holds a large array of certifications within the sport including an UEFA A License, Canada Soccer Child License, NSCAA Master Coach Diploma, NSCAA Adv. Director of Coaching, US National Youth License, and is a Canada Soccer Coach Educator for Grassroots Coach Education and the C License.   

Trinh Tam

Trinh is the Chief Marketing Officer for Harry Rosen, Canada’s most iconic luxury menswear retailer, where she oversees marketing and e-Commerce for a portfolio of banners including Harry Rosen, Ermenegildo Zegna and The Outlet by Harry Rosen. She is responsible for reinventing how Harry Rosen connects with clients and drives business growth through its brand strategies, integrated marketing, product marketing, insights & analytics, loyalty program, digital innovation, PR, store marketing and e-Commerce experience.

Throughout her career Trinh has led the growth of some of Canada’s most admired brand portfolios across various industries. Prior to joining Harry Rosen, she held various roles at Sobeys Inc. including Interim Senior Vice President of Marketing, where she led large-scale business & digital transformation and the development of brand, loyalty, promo and partnership strategies for all banner and private label brands. As VP Integrated Marketing at Tim Hortons, she led the brand through Canada 150 with a special edition of Roll Up the Rim and the go-to-market of numerous product innovations including the latte category. As Head of Marketing for Entertainment Brands at Bell Media, she launched CraveTV, digital products and popular TV series and sporting events. She served in senior marketing and merchandising roles at Loblaw Companies Limited where she launched PC Black Label, repositioned PC, PC Blue Menu & PC Organics, led multi-cultural marketing and managed a $2B P&L for Grocery & General Merchandise.

Lara Rooke

Ottawa, ON

A life-long athlete, coach, sport administrator and federal public service executive, Lara brings a unique perspective and passion for gender equity in sport. As a federal public service executive, Lara offers a well-rounded understanding of the machinery of government at the federal level which they hope to bring to the organization to foster more high-level relationships. Lara’s government expertise has spanned across four departments, most notably in line with CWS’s gender equity work, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and Women and Gender Equality Canada. Lara’s gender equity work within sport includes their work as a Program Manager for the Canadian Armed Forces Women’s Soccer team, which she led to three world championships and one World Games; in 2010, she brought the first all-women staff to the Military Women’s World Football Championships in France; she’s coached at a high-performance level in Ottawa with the Ottawa Internationals Club and in the Northwest Territories, and in 2015 worked with the World Health Organization as an Emergency Management Specialist in Guinea, West Africa helping to combat the Ebola crisis.

Lara is a life-long learning who enjoys giving back to the sporting community and being an advocate for women and girls from diverse backgrounds, and for those who identify as trans or non-binary.

Natalie Marcuzzi

Natalie Marcuzzi is an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in sports and is passionate about inspiring young women to achieve their goals whether it be in sport, life or their career, despite obstacles or differences they may face.

Natalie played professional hockey on the Toronto 6 and is currently an Investment Banking analyst at RBC Capital Markets. Prior to her current role, Natalie worked in the Sustainable Finance Group at RBC where she supported strategic advice to clients and partners on the integration of environmental, social and governance factors in their businesses. Natalie graduated summa cum laude from Robert Morris University with a dual degree in Finance and Accounting and a minor in Data Analytics. During her time at Robert Morris, she was a Captain of the NCAA D1 ice hockey team and an executive board member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Growing up, Natalie played many sports and understood first-hand how an athlete’s skill set can be applied to attain success in all areas of life. She is now committed to giving back and is motivated by the mission to advance female sports and women’s equality in sport.

Natalie joins the board for a one-year term through the Young Directors with FORA: Network for Change’s Girls on Boards program.
